This handbook is a practical resource for designing adaptation strategies based on robust macroeconomic modelling and tailored to policy needs in Kazakhstan. It offers step-by-step instructions for scenario development, data analysis and interpretation of modelling results using the national e3.kz model. Moreover, it presents results and policy recommendations for four analysed sectoral adaptation programmes – energy efficiency in buildings, multi-purpose water infrastructure for flood protection and irrigation in agriculture, sustainable pasture management and conservation agriculture.
