New factsheet: Overview of GIZ’s NAP support

At the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC in Durban (COP 17) in 2011, bilateral and multilateral agencies were invited to support the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) process and to establish support programmes for developing countries. In providing such support it is important to recognise the flexible and country-driven nature of the NAP process. Following this trajectory, a number of NAP support activities have been established that assist countries in identifying their individual NAP framework.

GIZ, for instance, applies a mix of existing and newly developed tools and management approaches to facilitate the NAP process in its partner countries. A factsheet has been prepared to provide an overview of GIZ’s NAP support. This factsheet is now available in the Mainstreaming & NAP section of our knowledge base.
