Climate Resilient Jobs Perspectives Through Agroecology

Agroecology aims at thriving and climate-resilient rural areas. The factsheet illustrates the intersection of agroecology and rural employment and explores how agroecology fosters climate change adaptation through biodiversity alongside employment promotion. Three dimensions are examined in particular: job creation, sustainable business opportunities and education.

Drawing on experiences from project implemented by GIZ in Latin Amerika, India as well as Sub-Saharan Africa, these examples demonstrate how creation of job opportunities and sustainable ecosystem management can be combined through Agroecology.
