How can secondary cities turn climate-driven migration into an opportunity for social cohesion rather than conflict? This case study shows how Moundou, Chad, built mixed committees of local authorities, women’s associations and youth leaders to manage shared water resources, mediate disputes between displaced and host communities, and strengthen resilience through women-led micro-projects.
