Event Recording: NDCP-Webinar “Raising Ambition Through Partnership: From Cali to Belem – Aligning Nature and Climate Goals”

Together with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the NDC-Partnership hosted the webinar “Raising Ambition Through Partnership: From Cali to Belém – Aligning Nature and Climate Goals” on February 18, 2025. The webinar was part of NDCP’s webinar series “Raising Ambition through Partnership (RAP)”.

During the virtual session, environmental policy experts emphasized the importance of aligning the goals of the three Rio Conventions UNFCCC, CBD, and UNCCD. They offered valuable insights on how policymakers can integrate these goals into their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs), and other relevant national strategies.

The session showcased Colombia as a country that has successfully incorporated both climate and nature objectives within its national strategies. Additionally, experts provided information on support mechanisms available to countries for aligning their climate and nature goals.
