Global Programme HMCCC: Share-Fair Event

The Global Programme ‘Human Mobility in the Context of Climate Change’ celebrated the end of its first project phase with a three-day long event from 24th until 26th October at the GIZ’s Campus Röttgen in Bonn. For this event partners from the Philippines, East (IGAD) and West Africa (ECOWAS), the Pacific, the Caribbean and the team in Germany came together to reflect on the past years, discussed best practices, lessons learned and experiences from the regions. In addition to that, we also looked ahead at the second phase of the Programme and discussed what topics and focuses would be intresting and relevant to address during the upcoming years.

The highlight of the third and last day of the event was the panel discussion which focused on how to move forward in the field of Human Mobility in the Context of Climate Change and the challenges involved. For this day, we invited experts from various fields like politics, decision-making, academia and civil society to join the team and partners of the Programme to network, exchange knowledge and expertise.
