Investor Database

GIZ’s Private Adaptation Investment Bootcamp

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, is implementing the Private Adaptation Finance (PAF) project which aims to mobilize investment in private sector solutions for climate change adaptation and resilience.

The PAF Investor Database has been developed to provide SMEs with a searchable database of impact investors who invest in climate adaptation solutions.

Specifically, this database has been designed for PrivABoo SMEs based out of Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Pakistan, and the Pacific Island States, but also other SMEs that are active in adaptation-relevant sectors and based in East Africa, West Africa and South Asia.

This database is private and password protected. If you wish to access this database or want any updates to be made to it, please contact lisa.scholz@giz.de.

While we will try and maintain and update the database, we cannot guarantee completeness or accuracy of the data contained. It is highly recommended you do your own research on identified investors before approaching them.

INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend you follow the instructions below to identify appropriate investors for your business.  It is possible to filter investors based on the following:

  • Geography
  • Sector
  • Finance type
  • Minimun Ticket size (Please note: Ticket size is what an individual investor will invest, and not the value of your total round of investment; also note that “0” means there is no data available, not that investors don’t have a minimum ticket size. Be mindful of this as you apply the ticket size filter.)

You will be able to use the filters above to narrow down your investor selection. You may further refine this by looking at further details on each investor, and exploring their website. You can find links to their website in the last column of the table.
