Systemic Challenges, Systemic Responses – Innovating Adaptation to Climate Change through Agroecology

This document summarises several consultations of experts, policy makers and practitioners on the contribution of agroecology to innovative and transformative climate change adaptation responses. The paper identified 5 key messages that call for a transformation of the agricultural sector and our food systems, being a contributor to, and causality of, accelerated climate change. Agroecology can contribute towards more systemic solutions by linking food production at farm level to the broader social-ecological systems that support resilience to climate change.
