The Climate Finance Training (CliFiT) is a dynamic, interactive training package with a focus on successfully developing, financing and implementing climate projects. It follows a modular concept, offering several combinations for different learning paths and addressing the specific training needs of the target group.
CliFiT includes a range of modules covering key areas of climate finance access. The training primarily targets developers and implementers of climate change projects, including staff from ministries of environment, finance, planning, and other relevant bodies; national climate finance Focal Points; GCF accreditation applicants; and climate finance institutions, think tanks, donors, and NGOs involved in climate finance.
The modules of CliFiT currently include:
- Introduction to climate change basics, the climate finance landscape, climate policy, and the main funds;
- Sector-focused modules on GCF project development in agriculture, water and transport (CliFiT4SE);
- Accessing and Managing Climate Adaptation Finance;
- Private Sector Engagement in Climate Projects;
All modules are available in three languages (English, French and Spanish). More information on CliFiT can be found here.
