Vietnam is particularly vulnerable to rising sea levels. This report presents insights how sea level rise may affect land availability across economic sectors in Vietnam. It illustrates how potential land loss across regions and economic sectors can be projected by using spatial analysis combining sea-level rise projections, elevation data and land-use information. Potential responses include coastal protection, changes in land use, and the relocation of economic activity toward less vulnerable inland regions. Understanding these adjustment processes will be important for designing policies that support climate resilience and sustainable economic development in Vietnam.
