PrivABoo Investor Meet & Greet | Second edition

Dear participants of the PrivABoo Practitioners’ Lab, dear colleagues and partners,

Following our very well-received first edition, we are happy to invite you to another Investor Meet & Greet session, which aims at connecting investors and companies to drive investments in climate change adaptation solutions. In each session, a small number of investors introduce themselves to the audience and welcome questions from and exchanges with the participants.

 

The second Investor Meet & Greet will take place on March 28, from 12:00 to 14:00 CET. The two investors joining us for this session are:

 

 

  • The Climate Resilient Africa Fund (CRAF) is an impact venture fund backing early-stage African startups at the nexus of food security, climate change and nature loss. It invests in biotech including new food groups, farmers platforms including precision agriculture, midstream supply chain innovation, novel farm systems and climate-nature data tools. CRAF has offices in Cairo, Accra, Nairobi, Johannesburg, London and Copenhagen. Its investors include private, governmental, development and impact capital.

This training provides a contemporary understanding of agroecology and related concepts. It combines theoretical and practical elements and identifies entry points for introducing agroecological approaches into development cooperation projects. The “Integrating the Multiple Values of Nature and its Benefits into Development Planning” seeks to assist in operationalising the concepts and principles in the IPBES values assessment, with a view to better mainstreaming the multiple values of nature and its benefits into development planning. The guide is targeted at development practitioners,  including those responsible for designing projects and programmes, planning interventions, formulating policies, and implementing, backstopping and monitoring the delivery of on-the-ground activities.
