In Tanay, the Registry of Barangay Inhabitants and Migrants was previously used inconsistently and depended largely on individual initiative. Support from the HMCCC Programme helped strengthen and digitalise the system, leading the Mayor to formally institutionalise the Registry and the Migrant Information Centre. The new mandate improved participation, accountability and cooperation across municipal departments, turning the registry into a sustainable resource for local planning, governance and service delivery.
