E-learning course “Climate Risk Management – An Introduction”

GIZ’s Global Programme on Risk Assessment and Management for Adaptation to Climate Change (Loss and Damage) has developed a CRM framework to avert, minimise, and address climate-related losses and damages. In order to support partner institutions and practitioners in partner countries in dealing with climate-related risks, the programme has established a training course that serves as a capacity building tool on the developed CRM framework.

The BMU-IKI funded and GIZ-implemented project Ecosystem-based management and application of ecosystem values in two river basins in the Philippines recently translated three videos on Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) into Filipino, Bisaya and Hiligaynon.

New Publication: Green Recovery for Practitioners – Examples from around the World for Building Forward Better

This report from the publication series ‘Green Recovery for Practitioners’ presents a compilation of 23 examples that show how communities, cities and countries have implemented the idea of a green recovery. Covering a wide range of sectors, entry levels and approaches, it draws upon measures and instruments that have been deployed in more than 20 countries, particularly in developing and emerging economies. Each example reflects on the actors involved, the progress made and the lessons learned so far.
